The City and Guilds Health and Safety candidate will report to or be part of the senior management team or have management support and they will be aware of cost implications and budgetary controls and may be budget holders, before commencing online health and safety courses.
To achieve the full NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice qualification a candidate must demonstrate their competency, knowledge and understanding by completing the eleven mandatory units. This qualification allows candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the Health and Safety sector through our Distance Learning Portal meaning you can earn your qualification in level 5 Health and Safety online.
When taking your Health and Safety training online there are modular units you must successfully complete in order to achieve your NVQ occupational Health and Safety qualification.

As part of the new NVQ standards providers must conduct an observation of the candidates work place or if this is not feesable, at a location to suit the candidate.
Observations fees are included within the £1495.00+VAT price.
Observations are a great chance for you to chat with your assessor face to face and for SVT to validate your course work as part of the City and Guilds requirements. Observations can be undertaken onsite or offsite where sensitivity is an issue.

The learning material is provided electronically with a guidebook and assessment plan. The assessment team will monitor your progress to offer you support and guidance throughout your course.
Assessment for the NVQ Level 5 Health and Safety Diploma is by production of a personal portfolio demonstrating understanding and application of the standards at this level; this is greatly simplified by our eLearning platform, where evidence can be electronically submitted toward your Health and Safety NVQ. An onsite observation will take place 3/4 of the way through your course.
