This qualification provides an excellent platform for those that are looking to progress within a care setting. Natural progression will take candidates on to the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care once into a more senior position within an organisation.

You will build up a portfolio of evidence. This will be in the form of written statements or ‘Reflective Accounts’ along with supporting work products you have produced.
An assessor will visit you in the workplace at some point and undertake observations of you at work. This will be planned in advance in order to cause the minimum disruption to your work routine and to try to capture as much information as possible in one visit.
You may also supply witness testimonies or statements from third parties with whom you work. This may include supervisors or a line manager or other suitably qualified individuals who understand your job role and the standards you have to meet in order to obtain this level of qualification.
There are a total of 70 credits that make up this qualification. These are generated from a series of mandatory and optional units. As part of our service, SVT look to tailor the optional units around you as an individual, making the qualification as personal as possible for each individual.
Duration and Support
On average most learners will complete in 6-8 months. Some may take less depending on their personal circumstances and how much time they have to dedicate to the qualification. We will work at a pace that suits you. You will have full uncapped support for 12 months.
What are the progression routes?
On successful completion of this award you may progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) and other short courses in the Care sector.
You must be in employment in the care setting. This can be full, part-time or in a voluntary capacity.

The level 4 Diploma is not approved for those who are under the age of 18.
