Workshop Overview

SHEilds Vocational Training offer free introductory workshops to all NVQ candidates. These workshops have been established to assist you in understanding the NVQ process and to demystify the requirements of the awarding bodies.

Workshops are generally held on the last Friday of the month at our centre in Grimsby.

Starting at 10am the workshops, include one to one time with an assessor if required, usually finish in the region of 2pm, allowing you to travel back to your destination at a reasonable time.

Benefits of attending a workshop

Whilst the workshops are an optional extra to your qualification, as the NVQ process can be completed completely by distance eLearning, if you can attend a workshop we suggest you do so early on in the process. It is an ideal opportunity to meet the assessment team and to meet other candidates and like minded professionals. You may then decide to keep in touch as part of establishing a support network and may utilise our online Forums on the website as you work through the NVQ.

Workshop Dates

The following dates are for workshops for the remainder of this year. Our Friday workshops are held at the SHEilds Vocational Training Centre at 19 Chantry Lane, Grimsby, DN31 2LP in the United Kingdom.

Unable to attend a workshop?

We also offer online SKYPE workshops for those who are unable to attend but would like the benefit of talking to an assessor and viewing documentation at the same time. Simply contact your assessor to set up a suitable appointment time.
