SHEilds Vocational Training Ltd and Acumen Training and Development Ltd (ATD) have further developed their association with the objectives of providing professional cost effective tutor led training and have taken this opportunity to introduce a portfolio of training programmes from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).
The SVT team provides the portal for prospective learners to find out more about the various CIEH programmes offered and in partnership ATD facilitate the learning.
The range of CIEH training programmes we are initially offering have been carefully selected to harmonize with the portfolio of qualifications already provided by SVT; most awards provided by the CIEH are principally accredited by OFQAL which along with registered trainer and registered centre requirements drive forward a real quality standard for excellence.

“This collaboration with SVT originates from a strategic decision made by the senior management team there to provide a further dimension of learning both for new and existing students with SVT and allows us at Acumen to offer potential continuous development to an even wider range of learners.
This very effective collaboration allows each company to maintain its own distinct identity whilst maintaining operational overheads at a realistic level with the purpose of allowing us to offer cost effective tutor led training.
The management team and I go back in association several years and in fact at one time we were all part of the senior management team at the Sheilds group of companies allowing us now a long standing and deep rooted professional relationship.
Around ten years ago I made a decision to change career, I had over 25 years experience of working in the food manufacturing sector from factory floor to executive level so the change was always going to feel daunting; I had a strong background in technical and operational management which I was able to draw upon as I retrained and become more experienced in the delivery of learning to adults and of course building my own enterprise.
Over the last decade I have worked directly and on a contracted basis for a number and range of various organisations, in particular SHEilds Ltd, GIFHE and Avarto. As a trainer for Acumen Training and Development Ltd I have delivered learning not only in the UK but also on an International basis with an extensive and wide ranging client base such as the CIEH, Pulse Learning, the Intercontinental Hotel Group, UNIDO, GFDE, Humberside Police, LANITH, Local Authorities and of course many individual learners on programmes we have facilitated.
Such a client base has provided me with fantastic opportunities to deliver learning across the world and really hone my skills; the list is way too long to write down here but please feel free ask me about some of places I have been, they are experiences I never tire of sharing”
